PARKING SERVICES
Mission
The City of Asheville is dedicated to providing safe, reliable and efficient parking in downtown Asheville. The city's Parking Services Division provides for the orderly turnover of parking and the maximum utilization of parking spaces. Asheville provides on-street parking as well as three parking garages and several permit lots downtown.
On-Street Parking
On-street, metered parking is for two hours or less, and costs $1 per hour, paid at the parking meter for each space.
Note: Parking in the Central Business District is allowed only where indicated by signs or street markings.

Parking Garages
Parking garages are operated for longer-duration parking as well as for monthly parking for downtown residents and employees.
Civic Center Garage: Parking in the Civic Center Garage is free for the first hour and then $0.75 per hour for each hour or fraction thereof.
Rankin Avenue Garage: Parking in the Rankin Avenue Garage is free for the first hour and then $0.75 per hour or fraction thereof.
Wall Street Garage: Parking in the Wall Street Garage is free for the first hour and then $0.75 per hour or fraction thereof.
Monthly Parking Permits: There are monthly parking permits available in city permitted lots and in the Civic Center Garage. For more information, click on one of the links provided below.
Bike Lockers
The City of Asheville has several locations where you can safely secure your bike while you shop, work, or even if you live downtown. We have several locations where the bike's can be stored as listed above. These lockers are for the use of storing bicycles and bicycle accessories only. The lockers are safe, convenient, and easy to use. You can sign up today for only $10.00 a month. Simply fill out the form below and bring it by our office located at 45 Wall Street in Downtown Asheville. Call us for a tour of the locations or just go by and see them for yourself.
