The City of Asheville Police Department is dedicated to providing public safety and maintaining order; enforcing the laws of North Carolina, upholding the United States Constitution and enhancing national security. About the Department
The Asheville Police Department is made up of 241 sworn and non-sworn men and women. The department also utilizes the strengths, experiences and specialties of more than 150 volunteers. The Asheville Police Department is a nationally accredited police department through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
