Neighborhood Services

The City of Asheville supports and encourages neighborhood interaction and provides ideas and resources that can help shape the future of a neighborhood. The city coordinates with neighborhood associations to understand their vision for their neighborhood as well as their short- and long-term needs.

The city's Neighborhood Coordinator serves as a:

  • City staff member
  • Information resource
  • Communication facilitator
  • Liaison between citizens and city staff

Please contact your Neighborhood Coordinator:

  • To share information about issues, concerns, or events in your neighborhood and community;
  • If you are interested in receiving information or support for starting a new neighborhood organization or expanding activities of your current organization;
  • To register a new organization or update contact information for an existing neighborhood or homeowners' group;
  • If you are new to Asheville and want to get connected with the neighborhood group in your area;
  • If you need assistance in accessing a city service or receiving information on a city department or service.
