The grass parking area at Mountainside Park will be closed to the public during the 2019 Asheville Tourists baseball season.
In response to concerns from the Edgehill and Hunt Hill neighborhoods, these changes in parking will help alleviate traffic impacts during home games. The grass area will be designated parking for Tourists staff and volunteers only, which will free up more parking for spectators.
These same changes also affect parking for programming at Memorial Stadium.
Signage will be posted at key locations to indicate these changes and direct people to parking at Memorial Stadium, 32 Buchanan Place.
Pedestrian access to this area, including the playground, will remain open.
