ART buses to run on holiday schedule
Asheville City government offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Though City offices will be closed, Sanitation services will run on schedule. Trash and recycling will be collected as normal on May 27. The Sanitation Division will not collect brush on Memorial Day.
ART bus service
The City of Asheville ART service routes and facilities will operate on a reduced holiday schedule May 27 (see schedule below). Memorial Day is one of six days throughout the calendar year that ART offers holiday bus service. For route information, visit RideTheART.com. Memorial Day Ceremony
The City of Asheville and Buncombe County will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 2:30 p.m. May 27 at the Bascom Lamar Lunsford Stage, Roger McGuire Green in Pack Square Park. Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer and Buncombe County Board of Commissioners Chairman Brownie Newman will participate in a Recognition of Service. Parks and pools
All City of Asheville Parks & Recreation Department recreation centers will be closed Memorial Day. The following specialized recreation facilities will be open: City park, Asheville Golf Course, Asheville Skate Park, Aston Park Tennis Center, Riverside Cemetery and the Western North Carolina Nature Center.
The Splasheville spray fountain in Pack Square Park will be open Saturday and Sunday but closed on Memorial Day, because of the ceremony.

U.S. Cellular Center
The U.S. Cellular Center will be closed on Memorial Day, May 27. Ticket purchases can still be made through TicketMaster.
Emergency response and water-related issues
Water Resources staff will be available for water-related emergencies 24 hours a day over the holiday weekend. Customers can call the customer service line at 828-251-1122 to report water related emergencies, leaks, breaks, and no-water calls.
All public safety services, including police, fire and emergency response, will operate according to normal schedule — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
