Community is invited to attend, ask questions

In December, the City of Asheville established the Office of Data and Performance to support a results-based, data-driven approach to the City programs and clear communication about what our programs intend to achieve, how they expect to achieve it, and how they are doing.

At 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21, Office of Data and Performance Manager Eric Jackson will host a brief virtual presentation about the new office: how it came to be, how it is organized, and how it will collaborate internally with staff of all departments to carry out its mission. He will also talk about our high-level approach to external collaboration with the community and with other agencies and organizations.

The presentation will be followed by time for Q&A and for discussion of ways the office can most effectively support external collaboration and communication with the Asheville community.

This virtual event is scheduled to last one hour, from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21, but staff will remain available to continue discussion through 7 p.m. Please pre-register for the event at this link.

People can also view to just listen and watch the presentation on the City’s YouTube channel, where it will also be archived for later viewing.
