The Sustainability Advisory Committee (SAC) is responsible for developing and recommending policies to support initiatives such as sustainable energy, waste reduction, sustainable economic development, and land use planning. The committee consists of nine members who are appointed by City Council. The term of office is three years.

Regular Scheduled Meetings
The meeting is currently scheduled for the third Wednesday of every other month at 3:30 p.m. The Committee will meet in person through 2024 unless noticed otherwise. The meeting normally lasts two hours. Meeting materials are posted on this web page two days prior to the meeting.
Meeting Notice: Effective December 18, 2024, all advisory boards, including the Sustainability Advisory Committee, staffed by City employees will remain suspended until further direction following the City Council retreat, in mid-February 2025. We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
