Truck City AVL Showcases Vehicles Vital to Community Recovery on April 12

Kids (and adults) can sit in, explore, touch, and ask questions about their favorite trucks and cars – from rescue vehicles and public works equipment to utility tractors and construction machines and more! These specialized vehicles and the teams that operate them have been essential to the city’s recovery following catastrophic Helene-related destruction – and kids and families have an excellent opportunity to learn about the equipment and skills required to operate them.

Celebrate Memorial Stadium on April 15

Join for an evening of fun and connection at the Asheville Sports and Fitness Fair from 5-7pm with local youth and adult sports leagues, organizations dedicated to active living, and resources designed to enhance personal well-being. The festival culminates in a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6pm to celebrate the extensive renovation of Memorial Stadium and the revitalization of the playground at nearby Mountainside Park.
