Removal of Trees in French Broad River Park Due to Helene-related Flooding
Due to the flooding, the park sustained considerable damage including impacts to trees. Trees are assessed and removed if they are determined to be potential hazards to life or safety. This includes trees that are partially uprooted and leaning at a 30% angle or more, those with cracked or split trunks, and those with significant crown damage.  This work is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers.  Please visit the Asheville Recovers website to learn more. 
 
Removal of Trees in French Broad River Park Due to MSD Project
Metropolitan Sewerage District is removing 7-13 trees in French Broad River Park to complete an essential community improvement project. More information is available on MSD’s website.  
 
About the Park

The park features greenway access, river views, vast areas of open green space with mature trees, paved walking paths, large gazebo, picnic tables and grills, dog park, off-street parking lots, and restrooms.
