Asheville Redefines Transit bus service routes and facilities will operate on a partial holiday schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 18.
Also, during Monday’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration/march, ART Routes E1 and E2 routes will detour from approximately 12:30-1 p.m., or until the march clears. These routes will use Biltmore Avenue, South Charlotte Street and MLK Jr. Drive during the event. During this time the following transit-stops will not be served:
- East bound:
- College Street at Court Plaza
- College Street at Charlotte Street
- West bound:
- College Street at Town Mountain/MLK Drive
- College Street at Woodfin Street
- College Street at Court Plaza
The MLK Day holiday is one of six holidays throughout the calendar year that ART offers a reduced holiday service. Here is the schedule:
