With Gov. Roy Cooper’s easing of statewide facemask and social distancing restrictions and extending capacity on gatherings per Executive Order 209, the Asheville City Council will transition back to meeting in person. As a start, the June 8, June 22 and July 27 City Council meetings will be held at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville Banquet Hall, 87 Haywood St.

For our in-person meetings, anyone wishing to speak live at the meeting will be required to attend in person.
To accommodate those who do not yet feel secure attending in person, or those who are precluded from attending because of schedules or other personal factors, City Council will continue to engage with those members of our community using the following options for participation:

@publicinput.com) or voicemail (855-925-2801, meeting code 7730) will continue to be accepted and reviewed by City Council prior to the meeting so long as they are received by 9 a.m. June 8. -
The meeting will be streamed on the City’s YouTube Channel which can be accessed through the YouTube icon on the front page of the City’s website or through the City’s Virtual Engagement Hub also accessible through the front page of the City website.
