ART bus service will resume at 8 a.m. Friday.

Asheville Parks & Recreation Fun Day Out programs will open at 10 a.m. Friday at Stephens Lee, Vance and Montford community centers. The Shiloh Community Center  will open at noon. Harvest House and Senior Opportunity will be closed. All other locations will open as conditions permit. Parks will open at 10 a.m.

Asheville Public Works Streets crews were out treating roads all day Thursday as any snow accumulated. A night crew worked overnight, actively treating roads with salt to prevent or delay formation of black ice. A Streets day crew resumed this work at 7 a.m. Friday. However, due to overnight frigid temperatures in the 20s, patches of black ice may be present on City streets Friday morning. Please proceed with caution or delay your commute, if possible.

Look for updated information posted at ashevillenc.gov/news or on the City’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.

All public safety services, including police, fire and emergency response, will operate as normal  – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
