Asheville Sanitation workers were unable to access all Thursday customers due to icy streets. Staff have noted these streets and worked to return to them Friday (Jan. 19) to make a second attempt to collect them.
City workers also be collected Wednesday customer trash on Friday, as previously announced.
But safety must come first. If we are still unable to access a street due to icy, dangerous road conditions, we ask that customers wait until their next regularly scheduled pick-up day for collection.
Brush collection was cancelled for this week. The City of Asheville will resume regular brush collection on Monday per the schedule and work to catch up on missed areas as we are able.

Hard 2 Recycle event
While we’re talking about recycling, allow us to remind everyone about the GreenWorks Hard 2 Recycle Collection in West Asheville Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at 1298 Patton Ave.
