On June 11, City Council will meet in-person at 5 p.m. in the Banquet Hall of Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville, 87 Haywood Street, Asheville, N.C.
The Council meeting agenda is posted on the City’s website.
Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.10 this will be an in-person meeting which the public can also access remotely.
Where to Watch
The City Council meeting will be live on Charter/Spectrum Channel 193, streamed on the City’s YouTube Channel, or through the City’s Virtual Engagement Hub accessible through the front page of the City website.
In-Person Comment
Persons wishing to speak live at the meeting will be required to attend in person and must sign-up at the door.
Additionally, comments can be directly emailed to Council at any time at: ashevillenccouncil@ashevillenc.gov.

Presentations at the Meeting
For those wishing to make a slide or PowerPoint presentation at a formal meeting of the City Council, the presentation must be submitted to Maggie Burleson at mburleson@ashevillenc.gov by 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 10.
Email and Voicemail Comments
To accommodate those who do not yet feel secure attending in person or those who have other barriers to participating in person, the City Council will continue to accept remote comments via email or voicemail through the Engagement Hub until 9 a.m. the day of the City Council meeting.

Free parking will be available in the Harrah’s Cherokee Center-Asheville garage: Entrance on: 68 Rankin Ave
Procedure
- Pull a ticket from the kiosk when entering the garage. Take the garage ticket into the meeting with you.
- Obtain a barcode. Please ask the person at the public comment sign-in desk for a free parking barcode (sticker) upon either entering or departing the meeting.
- Place the barcode sticker on the back of the parking garage ticket. (*You do not have to be participating in public comment to obtain a barcode.)
- Exiting the garage without charge. At the departure kiosk, first, scan the standard parking ticket barcode located on the front of the ticket. Then scan the sticker barcode you received at the Council meeting sign-in desk (the sticker you placed on the back of your ticket). The “second scan” will process at the kiosk and allow you to depart without charge.
Assistance shuttle
Due to the elevator being out of service in the Harrah’s Parking Garage, an assistance golf cart and a driver will patrol the deck for people needing assistance. There will be a sign in the windshield of the golf cart identifying it. The cart will also shuttle those in need of assistance at the end of the meeting from the front entrance of Harrah’s back to their cars. The cart will be available from 4pm until after everyone has left after the meeting.
