Our City and region continue to collaborate and make progress on Tropical Storm Helene recovery. The needs in our communities makes our actions to celebrate and support the earth this Spring even more meaningful. The City of Asheville’s Sustainability Department invites you to take extra steps this month to help clean up, beautify and restore our environment. While some of the restoration work requires professionals, there are many things we can all do to care for our beautiful community.

- Explore Asheville Travel & Hospitality Earth Day Clean Up 4/22 2-4:30 p.m.
- Attend a Bountiful Cities workshop or to get your hands in the soil at a community garden or edible park workday. Find more details on their calendar!
- Learn how to recognize and support our pollinator friends during events with Bee City.
- Sign up for a free Home Energy Navigator session with Electrify Asheville Buncombe to help understand and prioritize electrification and energy efficiency options that save money while reducing your carbon footprint.

- Celebrate Food Waste Reduction Month through buying the right amount of food, freezing leftovers before they spoil, and participating in backyard composting and local food scraps drop-offs.
