This year’s Bele Chere festival has more opportunities than ever to make sure your discarded containers get recycled. On top of the city’s own bins and bins provided by a contractor, there also 70 new recycling stands provided by a grant by Coca-Cola for Bele Chere 2010. There are also new recycling cans next to trash cans in Pack Square Park. That adds up to the most recycling bins the festival has ever seen, says Public Works Director Cathy Ball,
No matter the design or color of the bin, though, recycling containers can be easily identified by the clear plastic bag liners they all use.
The bins are located prominently throughout the festival and are maintained by the City of Asheville Public Works Department.
