Drawings of Richmond Hill Park improvements to be shared at community event

Schematic drawings of the renovations to Richmond Hill Park will be shared with the community from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 21 at the park, 300 Richmond Hill Drive. Residents may drop in to see the plans showing proposed improvements including a shelter, a play area and restroom facilities.

Richmond Hill Park is a popular destination park in northwest Asheville for disc golf, mountain biking, and hiking. The renovations are part of the citizen-approved $17 million General Obligation Bonds set aside for park projects. The park bond projects will include completion of major park improvements and recreation facilities, acquiring land for parks, and improving outdoor courts, playgrounds and park lighting throughout the city.

Schematic drawings will be available online soon.
