Working all day Monday and into Tuesday evening, Asheville Water Maintenance crews were able to restore water to to all customers in the Bee Tree Road area. Water was restored to half of the Bee Tree customers on Monday. The final repair to all of the Bee Tree customers affected by this outage happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
An estimated 300 Bee Tree Road area customers were without water, following a creek bank washout that caused a pipe to rupture during April 19-20 flooding. This occurred on Bee Tree Creek, a tributary of the Swannanoa River.
For safety reasons, waters had to recede before the repair could be made.
During the outage, the City of Asheville partnered with Buncombe County EOC and delivered bottled water to Swannanoa Fire Department for distribution.

To assist customers impacted by the weekend waterline break on Bee Tree Road, the City of Asheville partnered with Buncombe County EOC and delivered bottled water to Swannanoa Fire Department for distribution.
