Test Drive program for potential new businesses launches second year with open house

A year after the launch of the Test Drive Program, it’s time to celebrate the accomplishments of new startups and invite more potential businesses into the fold.

Mountain BizWorks and the City of Asheville invites everyone to a social mixer and information session for the 2019 Test Drive Program.

What is Test Drive? In an innovative partnership between Mountain BizWorks and the City of Asheville, Test Drive gives fledgling businesses the opportunity to exhibit their up-and-coming business ideas at Asheville festivals to gain valuable feedback.

Under Test Drive, startup entrepreneurs can sample, market and sell their merchandise at the region’s most well-attended events in Asheville. The Test Drive Program was launched as a pilot program during the 2018 festival season. The program is designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs through tailored mentorship followed by an opportunity take their concepts for a spin at local festivals and community events. We heard valuable feedback from you and have redesigned the collaboration to put emphasis on producer input.

Join us at this open house to find out about upcoming Test Drive prep workshops in March. Talk with event producers for a meeting of minds in sharing best practices and ideas, discuss your needs and learn about a way to support and uplift Asheville’s budding businesses.

Come to our Test Drive Open House!

Refreshments will be provided.
