We offer several types of permit parking:
Parking Garage Permits
Parking Garage permits are available in all four City of Asheville owned/operated parking garages, although some locations may have a wait list. Prices vary by location, and fees are collected on a monthly basis by automatic payment off of a Debit or Credit card on the 25th of each month for the following month of parking. Rates are as follows.
- Biltmore Avenue Garage:
- 24-hour permit: $130/month (24/7 access)
- 12-hour permit: $110/month (7am-7pm access)
- Sunset permit: $90/month (4pm to 7am M-F, 24/7 Sat/Sun):
- Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville Garage:
- 24-hour permit: $100/month (24/7 access)
- 12-hour permit: $80/month (7am-7pm access)
- Sunset permit: $65/month (4pm to 7am M-F, 24/7 Sat/Sun)
- Rankin Avenue Garage:
- 24-hour permit: $110/month (24/7 access)
- 12-hour permit: $90/month (7am-7pm access)
- Sunset permit: $75/month (4pm to 7am M-F, 24/7 Sat/Sun)
- Wall Street Garage:
- 24-hour permit: $120/month (24/7 access)
- 12-hour permit: $100/month (7am-7pm access)
- Sunset permit: $85/month (4pm to 7am M-F, 24/7 Sat/Sun)
Parking Lot Permits

On Street Permits
On Street permits are available throughout downtown Asheville. Prices may vary by location, and fees are collected on a monthly basis by automatic payment off of a Debit or Credit card on the 25th of each month for the following month. Rates for locations are as follows.
- Aston Street – between South Lexington Avenue and Coxe Avenue – $60.00
- Central Avenue – between Elm Street and Woodfin Street – $50.00
- Elm Street – between Liberty Street South, and Central Avenue – $50.00
- Grove Street – between Patton Avenue and Hilliard Avenue – $50.00
- North French Broad Avenue – between Patton Avenue and Otis Street – $50.00
- Oak Street (between College Street and Woodfin Street) – $40.00
- South Market Street – between Beaumont Street and South Market Street Extension – $50.00
- Woodfin Street – between Central Avenue and Oak Street/College Street – $50.00
To sign up for monthly parking at your preferred garage, lot, or street, please:
- Visit our monthly parking permit portal;
- Select the Sign Up option;
- Select the permit type you would like to purchase;
- Provide the requested information.
If monthly parking space is available within the location you selected, you will be emailed a confirmation to finalize your purchase. If space is not available, you will be added to a waiting list.
