784

Due to a lane closure, for overhead and underground utility work, on S. French Broad Ave expect delays for Route S4. Stop 784 (S French Broad Ave at Aston Park Towers) will be missed. Estimated time of closure from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 4/3/24 to 5/24/24.

In lieu of Bus Stop 784, passengers may board inbound buses at Bus Stop 783 (S French Broad Ave at Asheville Middle School) located across from the Asheville Middle School.
Until Further Notice W5, WE1 & WE2

Due to the ongoing City of Asheville’s Stormwater Improvement Project, expect delays for Routes W5, WE1 & WE2 weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM until further notice.

Due to a lane closure for a sidewalk replacement project at 108 Patton Ave expect delays for Routes 170, N1, N2, N5, S2, WE1 & WE2 and closure of Stop 163.  The project is set to begin March 12th and is anticipated to take four to five weeks to complete depending on weather.

213, 214, 215, 216 & 987

**Reminder** Due to street closures on University Heights and Edgewood Road a detour is in place for Routes N1 & N2. Stops 213, 214, 215, 216 & 987 are closed.  The street closures are the final phase of a three phase project that has an anticipated completion date of 4/30/24.   Map of closures.

Please note, due to time constraints we are unable to access the campus along another route.  The N1 & N2 routes both interline with another route and a delay would cause a domino effect along these routes.  The University is currently utilizing shuttles to transport individuals around campus.  The closest bus stops to the campus, 212 & 217, located at the intersection of W.T. Weaver Boulevard and Barnard Avenue remain in service.

Due to staff shortages, customer service hours of operation at the Transit Station at 49 Coxe Ave. may differ from regular hours. Until further notice, expect the following changes:

  • On Tuesdays after 5:00 PM, customer service may be unavailable. 
  • On Saturdays after 5:00 PM, customer service may be unavailable.
  • On Sundays & Holidays, customer service may be unavailable. 

To avoid coming to the transit station for customer service-related activities when staff is unavailable, please plan your trip outside the hours listed above and within the regularly scheduled hours of operation. Customer service being unavailable means that riders are unable to purchase tickets, submit and process discounted pass applications, reach the help number at 828.253.5691, and receive information on routes and schedules, among other services.
